What We Do

Shopping Trips

Redcliffe Community Bus takes members to Kippa Ring Shopping Centre on Mondays and Wednesdays to access the shops, banks and medical services, as well as to socialise. Visits to other shopping centres including Morayfield, Taigum, Strathpine and Toombul are regularly advertised in the newsletter.

Our volunteer helpers and bus drivers pick you up from your home and return you afterwards. They’ll even take your parcels to the door for you, making the outing as easy for you as possible.

Booking: Please call our office on 3284 6429 to book a place on the bus.
Cost: The cost for the trip to Kippa Ring is $5 per return trip, payable to the helper on the day.  The cost to other shopping centres is advertised in the newsletter.

RCB does not provide one on one support or transport for medical appointments.

Bus Day Trips

Each year we offer members day trips to varying destinations. These are a great opportunity to explore something new, visit an old favourite, or just take a break from your daily routine with friends. Our trips are published in our quarterly newsletter.

Overnight and Weekend Trips

RCB also organises overnight and weekend trips in Autumn and Spring. Information is published in our newsletter.

Booking: Please call our office on 3284 6429 to book on a trip. At times there may be restrictions on numbers due to venue capacity or the popularity of a trip.

Cost: In order to cover morning and afternoon teas, lunch and an entrance fee (if applicable), there is a cost for bus outings. Redcliffe Community Bus keeps the cost as low as possible, but it will vary depending on the venue.

If you or someone you care for would like to join us on an outing, you can read more about membership here.

Newsletter

Redcliffe Community Bus publishes a quarterly newsletter offering a wide range of outings for its members. RCB offers members, low cost value for money trips, enabling members to maintain social connections, remain engaged and active in their community.
