The Beenleigh Rum Distillery, established in 1884,is a heritage-listed distillery. The original rum was created here before even Coca Cola was invented. A tour will take in the history and processes that are used to make this truly Australian rum. Lunch will be at Beenleigh Sports Club. Cost includes bus, tour, tasting and lunch. For over 16 years, identical twins, Paula and Bridgette, have been rescuing and treating pelicans and sea birds. We will have a guided tour through their rehabilitation facility on the Sunshine Coast to learn more of the work being done to save our beautiful sea birds.
