A visit to Queensland Parliament House allows you to experience the grandeur of Queensland’s first and foremost public building. Built in 1868, the beautifully restored interior showcases Queensland’s history, as shaped by the governments and laws that have been made in the Parliament. The Queensland Parliament remains the only state parliament in Australia without an Upper House. Walk inside and wonder at the lush red and gold leaf decoration and the grand staircase. A gift shop sells souvenirs and memorabilia from the main foyer. A tour guide will be with us showing us around. YOU WILL NEED SOME FORM OF PHOTO ID ON ARRIVAL. Can be a driver’s licence or passport but must have a photo on your ID. Cost includes Bus, admission and lunch at the Kedron-Wavell Services Club. Wheelchair & Scooter NOT Suitable. Redcliffe Museum offers a unique and contemporary look at the people, places, significant moments and stories that have shaped this historical seaside. Exhibition on “Births, Deaths and Marriages”- major life events. How we view and mark them has been shaped by customs, changing fashions, social influences, and world events. From how WW1 changed mourning practices, to the meaning of silver baby gifts, the exhibition will shed light on the rituals, traditions and beliefs behind the experiences we all share.
The Redcliffe Art Gallery will have two exhibitions on – “Wish You Were Here” – a solo exhibition by Kellie O’Dempsey and “Interfacial Intimacy’ – self-portraiture from Tasmania. Cost includes Bus, Museum, Gallery and lunch afterwards at the Captain Cook Tavern. Wheelchair & Scooter Friendly. Member Cost $30/ Funded Member Cost $25

Qld Garden Expo at Nambour is a “must see” for green thumbs and novice gardeners alike. From flowers to fences, mowers to mulchers, there is so much to see and do. Lots of “Innovation”, “Inspiration” and “Information” with new displays, lectures, workshops and demonstrations abounding. Morning tea and lunch at member’s expense. You can bring your own lunch if you wish. Wear comfortable shoes, bring a hat, and a drink bottle. Cost includes Bus and admission to Garden Expo. Wheelchair & Scooter NOT suitable. Member Cost$40/ Funded Member Cost $25
